Landscape has a subtle yet profound impact on which often goes unnoticed. Loris Malaguzzi refers to the environment as the third teacher. the environmental impact and occupation of space are often less considered forces of our landscape that have a disproportionate influence on our development.

The hidden foundational structure of this work is tectonic, like a truss in the building, providing unseen support and order. Thin wood strips are woven in a form of structured chaos, then overlaid with steel, plexiglass and stainless steel ways, such as road, river and rail. These features provide yet another counterpoint to the chaos providing tension and interest in the completed work.
